why hello! It's been a long time. Time to give an update.
~School this year was amazing. I ended the year on Dean's list with a GPA that I am wicked proud of. And for once in my life I truely feel like I'm smart.
~I really learned that music is something I want to do & it's not just something I'm good at.
~I have the best friends in the world. I have a gruop of friends from home that I have been friends with since 4th grade. We have never fought and I've learned this year how amazing that is.
~My friends from school are absolutely ridiculous. The one's I don't talk about that much seem to be the ones that I talk to the most. I don't know how that works. I don't believe in regrets, but there are some aspects of being a friend that have been seriously misunderstood this year.
~Work is crazy. period.
~I have had no down time this summer. I have never once said I was bored. I work all day and visit people all night. It's amazing.
~Went to NYC this past weekd. saw Wicked! Also amazing. I have shin splints now, which is not amazing. I am a "walking" disaster. And when i say walking, I mean the exact opposite of walking.
~It's a summer of pictures I must say. I take too many.
~Friends and relatives are getting married left and right and it's boggling my mind. But I am so happy for all of them.
~I've come out of my shell and am less shy. Or at least I think I have.
That's pretty much it. I'd love to hear from people I haven't heard from in awhile. Leave one if you'd like because I'm never online anymore, but I'd love to hear from anyone. <3

Yesterday I had my audition for UMASS lowell. It was one of the best auditions I have ever had just because of the reactions of the people. The judges were the directors of the camp from last year so they already knew me and how I played, but what they said to me made me feel so awesome.
"Do you know how much you have improved from last year? For such a small person and a sophmore, you have an extraordinary gift. Did you try out for Districts? (me: yes bit I didn't get in) Well, you should have. Can you play some more? The audition is done but we want to hear more."
I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but that made me feel so good. When I left I could hear them and a few college students talking and all I could do was smile. It was the greatest feeling in the world. :)

Haven't been LJ-ing in awhile.
Concert last night was good. Slide show worked wonders and I'm so happy about that. Laura did an amazingly wonderous job especially since the computer kept crashing. I must say we could not have done it with out mr Brandon Belinsky. We would be sunk without him.
And I had to play Stars and Stripes again.

I saw 2 egos collide today and I thought it would be ugly but amazingly they got along. It was so sad , at least for me anyway.
I had rehearsal with the piano player for the concert tonight and she was like "You need to feel the music with the piano. Be more expressive, dont be so much on the beat" So then I did and then we weren't together so then shes like you're off. So then I tried to fix it and it just didn't work. Argh. Tonight should be interesting.

I got in to the Parish thing so that should be cool. They told me I didn't have enough dynamincs and then they realized the music stand was too high for me and all the sound was going into the stand. I hate being short. I have one more audition with that piece and then I am done with it, never to been seen again thank god.

I got another letter from Tanglewood yesterday asking me if I want to be there this summer. It's $3,000 which is a tad steep. But it's 4 weeks of training with professionals. My mom said before it was too exprensive and now shes like well if you had shown interest in it before I would have thought about it more. Um... I did show interest in it before and I'm showing interest in it now. I wanna go!
This vacation was great. I had something to do everyday which was a first for a vacation.
I fell asleep on the deck and now I'm a little toasted. But its all good.
My mom is on my case to wear makeup. A little odd since most parents tell their kids to wear less...
I have that audition thing tomorrow for the Young Artists concert. Kinda dont feel like going but I kinda have to.

My daddy bought me a new toy... a cd burner. My cd collection will multiply by 10 by the time the week is over. :)
I helped to make scenery for my dance studio today and I'm helping again on Wednesday. I'm covered in paint. Including my hair. O ya. It's a pretty sight.
7th heaven is on tonight and it's Lucy's wedding. That show used to be good when like the oldest one was 12. What happened? I haven't seen that show in a wicked long time.
Why in fast food places do they give you the BBQ sauce at the counter but make you go over to where the napkins are to get the ketchup?
